LEA

What is LEA?
Lutheran Education Association was founded in 1942 by a group of visionary Lutheran educators in The Lutheran Church -- Missouri Synod to promote Christian education in the home, school and parish. The professional organization is comprised of 4,600 teachers, administrators, Directors of Christian Education, and others who are committed to Lutheran education ministry. The LEA office is located on the campus of Concordia University in River Forest, IL.

Weekly Devotion Available
The devotion for the week of February 3 is now posted—a bit early due to LEA business travel. You will find the devotion at www.lea.org. Click on "Resources" and scroll down to click on Weekly Devotion.

Welcome!
LEA celebrates February 1, as Bill Cochran is installed as LCMS District & Congregational Services—School Ministry Executive Director. We are confident that Bill will be a blessing for LCMS schools, and we pray God's guidance for Bill in this vital leadership position. You may wish to extend your blessings to Bill too. His e-mail is bill.cochran@lcms.org.

Watch Your Mail
Winter mailings from LEA and from ECEnet (formerly DECE) are on their way. Among the contents of the LEA mailing is the LEA Monograph titled "Building Trust in Relationships" by Terry Schmidt. ECEnet members are in for a delightful surprise—something to wear. (But if I told you more, it wouldn't be a surprise!) ADnet members will receive a special mailing within the next two weeks.

LEAnews Bonus
Gospel.com is full of information and links of interest to Christians. Of special interest right now is Valentine's Day at Gospelcom.net. Perhaps some of their resources will interest you. Some (Lutheran) theological evaluation and adaptation may be necessary for some of their resources.

LEAnews Bonus advises you of websites containing information that might be useful to you. We at LEA do not endorse these sites; we simply want to make you aware of them.

LEAnews is a members-only benefit of Lutheran Education Association. Visit the LEA website. If you do not wish to receive LEAnews, you may unsubscribe yourself by sending the command UNSUBSCRIBE LEANEWS to MAILSERV@crf.cuis.edu or send your request to Ed Grube. Please include your e-mail address in the message area, even if it appears in the e-mail header.
